It was lovely to experience Miami and stay at the Grand beach. It had mostly everything we were looking for for a layed

It was a great location. It had all the amenities we love. The private beach was great!

The rooms weren’t very clean. Hair from the people before in the showers. And stain on the sheets. Other than that, it was a great stay. Also, the front desk men weren’t very nice and gave us an attitude at check in and check out. Seemed like we bothered them when we asked questions. Overall, we didn’t let that bother us. It was a great trip and stay

Beautiful hotel right on the beach, some of the staff let it down

The rooms are huge and the decor in the reception area / bar / restaurant is lovely. The pool area is beautiful, as is the beach. Restaurant food / room service is of a great standard. Staff that work at the cafe and front desk are so lovely, friendly and polite. The guys serving drinks on the beach are also great, as are MOST (but not all) of the guys helping with the sun loungers.

The bathrooms in the rooms are dated and not finished to a good standard for a 4* hotel, by contrast of decor in the bathrooms you find in the communal spaces of this hotel which are modern. Some of the beach staff did not speak to me when I asked them a question, instead spoke to each other in Spanish, gave me a dirty sun lounger, and threw plastic cups / litter into the sand. Generally the hotel is not at all environmentally friendly with lots of unnecessary single-waste plastic wrapping. I paid $159 for late check out and was harassed by the cleaner for the last hour (that I paid for!) to vacate my room, even though I told her I would not be leaving until 4pm.

Large rooms, nice views (worthwhile to upgrade to a room with view), friendly and fun for kids, beach is splendid.

If you want a good view and have a lot money to throw this is it :)

Besides it being on a good location, the hotel was nothing special. It is irritating that they charge resort fee and you get just about nothing, besides a pool and gym which every hotel in the world has.

Dissatisfied as Surfside location 2 werks earlier was swoon worthy

The area around pool/beach area is very congenial and beach is lovely.

Compared to sister hotel in Surfside is is a downgrade. Was not offered champagne or fruit at reception. Multiple aspects of room were not functioning, fan in bathroom obviously longstanding malfunction as metal was rusting on doorframe and pot lights. No lightbulbs in picture light, deck dirty etc No handtowel hook very off in a 5 star hotel No robe Was given complimentary late checkout but feel that I should have been offered a voucher or something more. Staff responded immediately though.

Indeed a tropical look and feel but a bit pricy for the services you get .

The hotel is a bit off the miami vibe and unless you have a car you need to consider Uber or similar to reach any restaurant or attraction . The beach is essential but nice , the pool and the pool staff really nice , same for the restaurant ( bit pricy ) good food and nice staff.

The staff at the reception is really basic , no emotions or welcoming attitude, simply providing sterile answers to questions but with zero engagement in making your stay a pleasure . Slow in responding and not paying attention to details of your stay , if the computer says something so it exists otherwise no exceptions or flexibility to accommodate the guest’s needs . Cleaning is really basic and not carefully arranged. The bathroom in the room need a guy renovation

view from the room is the only good thing

dirty room, dirty bathroom, dust over the beds, old yellow towels in the room, we gave our things to Laundry - they did not clean them,tips did not help to make the room cleaner. the fire alarm started at night, it was false call but the hotel team did not manage the situation properly at all!! Full hotel got downstairs, there was no fire, but no one of the team even told it's fine and the guests could go upstairs.

Cute light and airy place on the beach with lovely ocean views

Loved the view. Cute breakfast place. Everyone was friendly and super helpful . Lots of smiles. Cute decor. Nice renovation and decor. Felt bright and airy.

The bathtubs and shower curtain made it feel like a 3 star place versus the rest of the resort

It served its purpose on a one night stay.

I liked the location, the pool area was nice as well and the walk to the beach was easy, the complimentary beach umbrellas were nice as well as the staff who brought us drinks.

I did not like that the floors in our room were broken and I tripped over them quite often as it was right at the entrance to the room. The room had not been swept before we go there, and was dirty. the walk in shower door did not close so the bathroom essentially flooded during a shower.

Lovely hotel in mid beach, large bedroom

Lovely large room with view of the sea, great gym facility! The team in the dining room were absolutely wonderful and went out of their way to be of help.

The room itself was lovely but it is clear the bathrooms have not been updated, so they looked out of place and dated with the general design of the room - the bathroom was not shown on Booking.com When asking the concierge to book us a taxi and he was not helpful and made it seem as if it were too much hassle which led us to book our own taxi whilst he was standing grumbling. Having not been to Miami before we hadn't really realised how vast Miami is! This is no fault of the hotel as it clearly states its location but this is worth bearing in mind if you have never travelled there before as you will need to get a taxi or the free Trolley service.

Front desk not great but rest of hotel was top notch.

The beach was very nice and the room was big and clean.

Check in felt like a bait and switch. They asked me to pay an extra $130 a night for a partial ocean view room which I declined. Then once I received my room I was given a partial ocean view anyway. That is my only negative experience at this property.

Pleasant

Room was spacious and had a nice view with balcony. Cocktails were delicious. Location was perfect.

Room was not clean at the first check in until we asked housekeeping for a thorough cleaning. Very slow service at the restaurant with long wait times at lunch and dinner. Food was served cold and not cooked thoroughly despite our well done request. Limited beach chairs despite an extra resort fee. Some of the staff at the bar and beach were impolite.

Fun holiday get away

We have stayed many times at GBH and this Christmas visit met our expectations. Rooms are a good size with good amenities. The hotels location suits us and the beach is one of the best in the area.

The check-out and credit card billing need to be improved, it's otherwise so confusing. No water on the last day of our stay. Beach caddies struggled with the amount of patrons on the last two days of good weather (under staffed).
